Harland the Hawk WFSU Public Media has had several animals court us in attempts to become our official mascot over the years. Steve the Snake tried to slither in, Bartholomew the Bat napped the day away on our back door, and an ornery pair of nesting geese tried to move to the top of the pecking order, but no animal has shown up as much as the one featured in this picture. Meet Harland the Hawk. He can often be seen prowling the station lawn, on top of our tower and lampposts, or sitting on the occasional sign like he is in this picture.
