Dan MacDonald, The Heart of 91.5 WFSQ-FM After matriculating, and falling in love with FSU's School of Music in 1950, Dan MacDonald was compelled to cut his college career short to join the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. After being honorably discharged Dan attended the University of Illinois, earning his Bachelor of Music and Master Degree in voice and opera. He began his professional career in Chicago as tenor soloist and Director of The Theatre Men, a male octet and top soprano, touring the Northern Hemisphere. He then accepted an appointment as Director of the Music Department at the University of Guam. In 1974, Dan moved his family to Tallahassee to study for an advanced degree. He was employed by WFSU as on-air classical music host. In 1995 he took an early retirement and became a licensed Real Estate agent. But the yearning to serve FSU as a radio host brought him back to WFSQ in 2006 as the Cultural Affairs Coordinator. Dan is delighted to be "back home." #WFSUandM...
