“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.” -Genesis 1:3-5 Imagine how beautiful that first morning was; how majestic, that first moment of light. As God is light, he wanted his creation to daily feel his presence, that creation would mirror him, just as we are made in the image of God. If the light of God is wondrous and beautiful like the sunrise, then I have seen God daily. I really want to iterate how wonderful it would be to experience that first moment of light. Very similar to how we were once living in darkness and sin, until we met Jesus, that figure of light, the savior who came and met us, gave his life for us, and gave us light.
