Ian Hudson spent two weeks traveling through Germany exploring castles and cathedrals with the University Honors Program. 𝓗𝓸𝔀 𝓱𝓪𝓼 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮 𝓪𝓽 𝓒𝓪𝓶𝓹𝓫𝓮𝓵𝓵 𝓹𝓻𝓮𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓮𝓭 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓮𝔁𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮? Ever since I set my academic path out as a Christian Studies major, I have grown to appreciate my faith's traditions, cultures, and people exponentially. At the same time, being a college student develops your skills in terms of living independently and appreciating a plethora of cultures outside the one you are used to. Knowing that Germany's culture--let alone language and cuisine--is different than in America, I educated myself by continuing to learn how to have conversations in German, being receptive to different types of food and customs, and being aware of important pieces of history. 𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓭𝓲𝓭 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓷 𝓯𝓻𝓸𝓶 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓷𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓹? International travel is a privilege and an opportunity that should not be pushed aside...
