#DidYouKnow that today is National Oregon Day?
We are celebrating the 33rd state to join the United States of America by looking back at our park project at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument! The National Park Service asked for our assistance in acquiring a 40-acre parcel of land inside the park. The property contained substantial fossil deposits from the early Miocene Epoch, including portions of the Oligocene “Bridge Creek Flora,” a unique 30-39 million-year-old collection of leaf, seed, and twig fossils.
