We are pleased to report that the new practice field turf passed its first official test during the first day of football practice on Monday. Coach G said the turf was a little wet from Sunday’s rain, but it was otherwise good. “The only issue with the grass was that it grew too much over the last week, and it was TOO long,” he said. He said Coach Collins had to mow the grass immediately after Monday’s practice. We proposed renaming this year’s annual scrimmage as “The Blue, Gray and Green Game,” but he said such a move would be premature. “Let’s make it past Day 1 before anointing ourselves greenskeepers of Augusta!” Well, then we guess calling the @macfootballboosters MASTER gardeners or grass MASTERS is out of the question then.
