The ARC-100 is an advanced small modular nuclear reactor designed by Advanced Reactor Concepts LLC and GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy. It is based on sodium-cooled fast reactor technology, originally developed by the U.S. Department of Energy, with a track record of over 450 reactor-years of operating experience from a global fleet of similar reactors since the 1950s. The ARC-100 reactor is designed to provide 100 megawatts of stable electrical power, enough to supply around 75,000 households.
