The Community Covenant is a vital tool that we utilize to establish and fortify community engagement in our projects. For example, in the community of Kalikokha in Malawi, we just held our third meeting with community members to sign and ratify the Community Covenant for a new deep-water well that we are planning to construct. Community Covenants are signed by at least 50% of community members, and follow the establishment of a Community Leadership Committee that is comprised of at least 50% women. It's also a time to celebrate the coming transformation that the community will experience once they have a consistent and convenient source of clean water from a Sonder Project well!
