As Australian wheelchair tennis champion DylanAlcott travels to the
#2024ParisOlympics he’s experiencing the monumental event through the lens of a Paralympic gold medalist and also a traveler with disabilities. Having been in a wheelchair from a very young age, he says his family was determined to bust the myth that it’s too hard to travel with a disability, and he’s been fortunate to visit 70 to 80 countries thus far. Along the way he’s mastered what travel hacks work for him like snagging the aisle seat, being a self-proclaimed “sleep expert” on flights, making sure his wheelchair is always with him on the plane, and strictly flying with carry-ons so he can be out of the airport within five minutes of landing.
Alcott runs through all of that and more in our Wander Musts column, where we give you an inside look at celebrities’ travel tips, tricks, and can’t-live-without essentials. Click our link in bio to read the full interview.
