The #NJDevils are likely to sign Brett Pesce when free agency opens up on July 1st, per Dan Powers. Powers previously reported Sheldon Keefe to NJD and Craig Berube + Marc Savard to TOR’s coaching staff. Pesce, born in Tarrytown, NY, is a right-handed defenseman who had 13 points in 70 games for the Carolina Hurricanes, along with a +10 rating. The addition of Pesce would give the Devils five right-handed defensemen: Simon Nemec, Dougie Hamilton, John Marino, Seamus Casey & himself. One would have to wonder if one of those guys would be on the move. Pesce is a career +92 with 198 points in 627 NHL games. He’s also a +2 with 21 points in 57 Stanley Cup Playoff games. AFP Analytics projects him receiving a 5-year, $6.283M AAV deal. Thoughts!? - 📸: Jenn G / Flickr via Dan Powers / X
