DEVILS WIN!!!! Akira Schmid stole the game from the Kraken as he stopped an incredible 37 of 38 (.974 SV%)!! It may have taken until game 24, but goaltending was finally *the* main reason for a #NJDevils victory. Simon Nemec scored his first NHL goal off a beautiful feed from Jesper Bratt, which ended up being the game winner. Jack Hughes had a rare off night so it was nice to see other players - Ondrej Palat in particular - step up in that occasion. It wasn’t the prettiest game as the Kraken basically dominated the pace of play, especially in the third period. But Schmid came up with save after save, and that’s why the Devils came away with the regulation W. They’re now only two points behind a Wild Card spot w/two games in hand. And they’re 3 points behind second in the Metro…also w/two games in hand. The Devils have now won 5 of 6. WOO!! 😈
