Curtis Lazar is a New Jersey Devil!! The 28 year old Canadian forward & former 1st round pick will be a depth forward for NJ as playoffs loom near. He is not a goal scorer but plays well overall…he’s 52% in the faceoff dot, has 124 hits (automatically 2nd on the Devils), and was third on Vancouver in blocked shots. He has played in 24 career playoff games, accumulating 87 hits and did not give away the puck once in those games. He has two years left on his contract at $1m per year, which could save the Devils some money in finding a future replacement for Miles Wood and his $3.2m salary. It never, ever hurts to have depth come playoff time. Welcome to Jersey, Curtis!! 😈
