The #NJDevils’ hard fought comeback effort wasn’t enough, as they dropped their 7th of 8 contests. They let things spiral out of control in the second, giving up four goals and giving the Bruins a large cushion. It’s been the same story over and over and over…outshoot the opponents but lose the game. A lack of finishing, mediocre goaltending, and the defense spiraling out of control…this is a narrative we saw all of last season and it feels like it’s a nightly occurrence again. It’s extremely frustrating. There will be a five day break before they’re back in action, against this same Bruins team in a rematch. That rematch could show a lot about their character.
