Late goals have plagued the #NJDevils, and that was exactly the difference tonight. Some lackadaisical play in the dying seconds of the second period came back to haunt them - as they gave up a goal with 2 seconds remaining. They played well, but were unable to convert on their chances and couldn’t tie it back up afterwards. Dallas added two empty netters and that was that. They’ll need to bounce back at The Rock on Thursday night, as they take on a struggling Philadelphia Flyers team. On a positive note, Akira Schmid played phenomenally. 😈
