The #NJDevils earned a point against the Rangers, but unfortunately couldn’t grab the second one. A one minute span in the second period outlined the entire game: a soft call led to a PPG and then Jesper Boqvist fell on the ensuing face-off, sending the Rangers with numbers and then a Kaapo Kakko goal. The reality is the Devils haven’t been playing *quite* as well as we got accustomed to them playing. They haven’t been playing bad - they actually had over 81% of the scoring chances this game. But defensively, they are just a little inconsistent. Slipping away from their game juuuust a little bit. These things happen over the course of an 82 game season. They could get this same result every game the remainder of the season and still make the playoffs. Every single point is crucial. They’ll move on to facing a red hot Dallas Stars team at The Rock tomorrow night. LGD!! 😈
