DEVILS WIN!!!!!! Miles Wood had two assists in his return to the lineup as the Devils won their 11th straight on the road!!! Akira Schmid dazzled yet again, stopping 31 of 33 (.939 SV%) and keeping them in it when things were rough. The Devils did not play their greatest game in any stretch, but thankfully got by with two points. Jack Hughes got the game winning goal on a beautiful individual effort, which is part of why the Devils have been so successful…even when they don’t play their A-game, their star players pick them up and get the job done. The Devils were outshot by fifteen which is such a rarity for them, but the two points is all that matters. That can be a little misleading, however, as the Devils had almost 60% of the game’s high danger chances. Their 11th straight road W is a franchise record!! They’ll be back at The Rock on Tuesday night to take on the struggling Blackhawks. LGD!! 😈
