GAMEDAY!!! The #NJDevils look to make it four victories in a row for the first time since 2018, as they’ll take on the Washington Capitals. The Devils are clearly riding the hot hand here, as Mackenzie Blackwood will get another start in between the pipes. Since giving up two goals on four shots in the first period vs. ANA, Mac has stopped 53 of 55 (.963 SV%). During this contest, Jesper Bratt will look to take sole possession of first in the NHL for assists. He currently has 8 - tied with Nikita Kucherov and Artemi Panarin. The Devils will be rolling with 11 forwards & 7 defensemen, which has worked extremely well for them in the last two games. Since switching to that lineup, they’ve outshot their opponents by an average of twenty (!!) per game. NJ has struggled mightily in the past against the Caps, so this is an excellent opportunity to start changing the narrative of their season early on. LGD!! 😈
