GAMEDAY!!! The #NJDevils are at UBS Arena to take on the Islanders in their second to last preseason matchup. A ton of roster cuts have been made, and things are getting real serious now. Guys like Fabian Zetterlund, Alexander Holtz, Kevin Bahl, & Andreas Johnsson will need to prove themselves in these next couple of games in order to make the Opening Night Roster. Mackenzie Blackwood will likely get the start in net, as he's looked excellent this preseason with a .943 SV%. Above average goaltending is a MUST for the Devils this season, and Blackwood/Vanecek combined have stopped 102 of 108 shots: that's six goals in five games. Hopefully that will keep up tonight. LGD!!! 😈
