According to an AC Transit press release, these cameras, developed by Bay Area company Hayden AI, flag potential violations by creating an evidence package, including a 10-second video of the violator’s license plate and the time and location of the incident. Trained law enforcement will then review the packages to determine if a citation should be issued. To ensure privacy and safety regarding the usage of AI technology, Lyles stated that AC Transit will continuously follow California privacy laws.
