Tweaking the upper on the existing Gel-NYC, the 2055 Gel-NYC offers a fresh take on an already great design. This cream/steeple grey pair is pretty simple, but I love how clean it looks. The change in the mudguard wrapping around the heel from the previous Gel-NYC, allowing the mesh upper to flow more seamlessly into the midsole, gives it a sleek look that I’m a fan of. This model isn’t highly sought after yet, but there are a variety of dope colorways available, which, in my book, makes it a sleeper. Every Sunday, I like to highlight a pair of sneakers that isn’t hyped, doesn’t resell for a ridiculous price, or has slipped under the radar for some reason.
