Chiles update. 🚨 •⁣ USA Gymnastics has officially appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to reinstate Jordan Chiles’ bronze medal claiming they have video evidence complete with time stamps indicating her coach made the inquiry at 47 seconds and again at 55 seconds after the score was posted. 👀 •⁣ The governing body said in a statement that it has submitted the video, as well as a formal letter, to the Court of Arbitration for Sport as part of a request to reinstate Chiles’ score of 13.766 and allow her to keep her bronze medal from the 2024 Paris Olympics. •⁣ Chiles went last in the final and initially received a score of 13.666, which put her fifth behind both Barbosu and another Romanian gymnast, Sabrina Voinea. But after U.S. coaches filed an inquiry, or scoring appeal, with the judges, her score increased by one tenth of a point to 13.766.
