#2028FreshmanProfile 🎓🏠 Unapologetic Excellence: Khumo Kumalo ’28 Khumo Kumalo ’28 is a freshman political science major from Johannesburg, South Africa. As an international student, Khumo was first exposed to Morehouse College through his father and alumnus, Mandla Kumalo. In high school, Khumo discovered his love for writing and language during his time as the captain of the South African debate team. Moreover, through his social-political organization, “Misunderstood,” Kumalo wrote a newsletter entitled, “94 was Misunderstood” to the Mail and Guardian, one of the largest newspapers in South Africa. Khumo plans to pursue his passion for writing and debate at the College by joining the Student Government Association and the Debate Team.
