Soft Play, BLUDFEST REVIEW: Soft Play have had quite the Summer. Alongside releasing their long-awaited new rager ‘Heavy Jelly’, the duo have decimated every festival they've been invited to attend. And BLUDFEST is no different, with their raucous offerings feeling even more incendiary and intense than usual. ‘John Wick’ has the patrons of the pit laughing whilst launching themselves into each other, whilst the riffs that hold ‘Act Violently’ and ‘Mirror Muscles’ together rip and tear with joyful malice. Though it’s in forever staples such as the thrillingly catchy ‘Beauty Quest’ and brilliantly dangerous ‘The Hunter’, the duo show why they have managed to stay on the cutting edge of aggression for so long. Brimming in confidence and hitting the perfect mark between battery and banter, Laurie and Isaac are firing on all cylinders right now and picking up more and more rambunctious supporters as they go.
