When my daughters was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Anxiety, Selective Mutism… etc- her doctor recommended that I incorporate sensory play into her daily routine! She wouldn’t touch the store bought dough and the smell alone freaked her out! That’s when I started messing with recipes and making my own! She would play with it here and there but wasn’t very interested in it until I put the dough in an organized box with themed items.
