Starting HarlemWeek off right! 🎉
It was a glorious morning in Harlem on Saturday as 5,035 runners took to the streets for the Percy Sutton
#Harlem5K. The race honors the late, great Percy Sutton—a towering figure in NYC culture and politics who helped to make the
#TCSNYCMarathon a five-borough event—and kicks off Harlem Week, an annual celebration of the neighborhood’s history in arts, culture, religion, business, entertainment, and sports.
Thanks to our runners, our
#RisingNYRR participants and parents, and all the
#NYRRVols who made this such a fantastic event.💙 And a special shout-out to
#NYRRRunfortheFuture participants who capped their amazing summer by running their first-ever 5K!
