The U.S. Women's National Team — with Sleepy Hollow native Sam Coffey, shown here celebrating with midfielder Korbin Albert — won the Olympic gold medal Saturday with a 1-0 win over Brazil at the 2024 Paris Olympics. "I'm so proud of where I'm from. I love Sleepy Hollow," Coffey told the USA TODAY Network after the gold medal win. "It's my home. I try to go back as much as I possibly can. I know there was a watch party at J.P. Doyle's, which is like the little soccer bar in town. Their support means everything to me. I'm so grateful. “I can't wait to hopefully share this with them soon and go back and visit. I love it with my whole heart. It's the community and the people that raised me and made me who I am.
