The U.S. Women's National Team — with Sleepy Hollow native Sam Coffey, shown here celebrating with midfielder Korbin Albert — won the Olympic gold medal Saturday with a 1-0 win over Brazil at the 2024 Paris Olympics. "I'm so proud of where I'm from. I love Sleepy Hollow," Coffey told the USA TODAY Network after the gold medal win. "It's my home. I try to go back as much as I possibly can. I know there was a watch party at J.P. Doyle's, which is like the little soccer bar in town. Their support means everything to me. I'm so grateful. ā€œI can't wait to hopefully share this with them soon and go back and visit. I love it with my whole heart. It's the community and the people that raised me and made me who I am. It will always hold a really special place in my heart." šŸ”—: Read more of Coffey's win celebrated in her hometown at our link in bio. šŸ“ø: Patricia De Melo Moreira/AFP via Getty Images| āœ: Phil Strum #lohudSports #Olympics #Olympics2024 #ParisOlympics #ParisOlympics2024 #Westc...
