Smells like wet 🐐 out here. Despite the smell, I actually really enjoying being out in the rain. Filming race cars in the rain can be super annoying, especially when the rain isn’t heavy enough to soak the track and make spray, but still heavy enough to ruin your camera kit. But there is a sweet spot. It’s about a few drops shy of having to red flag for rain. Then it’s perfect. I actually hit a total flow state during this session when I was on the pit wall. If you’re not familiar with the term “flow state” it’s when you’re so in the moment of what you’re doing, you forget about everything else. All your stress, your troubles, even the Ali Baba’s Pizza dinner you’re looking forward to in a few hours.
