Congratulations to Class 1️ of 2024 for completing their Alpine and Wilderness Operations training! ❄️⁣ ⁣ It might look fun (and don’t get us wrong - it can be!) but there is a serious side to our alpine training program. ⁣ ⁣ Alpine environments can pose the most challenging and extreme weather conditions officers face in their operational duties. It’s the skills officers learn in these courses that can be the difference between life or death.⁣ ⁣ The team put this training into action last week when they rescued a man who had a suspected dislocated shoulder after falling while skiing.
