Many Jews today, observant and not observant, are detached from Jewish historical events and the loss of the Holy Temples does not resonate with them anymore. While these are very complex issues, many in the Jewish community today feel that Tisha B’Av is more important than ever to observe as an opportunity to find meaning in the connections that exist in the Jewish experience both past and present.
