nyumenshoops and nyuwomenshoops got to spend an hour learning from the U.S. Consul General (CG) in Shanghai, Scott Walker, and Deputy CG, Navarro Noore. Members of the nyuniversity traveling party got to ask questions of Walker and Moore about their current roles and past work experiences. The two were then presented with a signed nyuwomenshoops jersey.
The Consulate General promotes U.S. policy and greater understanding of American values and views, and informs U.S. officials on developments in Shanghai, as well as the nearby provinces of East China. The Consulate General works to increase U.S. exports to East China, supports market-based reforms and intellectual property rights protection, facilitates legitimate travel to the U.S. by providing non-immigrant visa services, and provides the full-range of American Citizen Services.
