Sergeant Lodi and Leading Senior Constable Thorley witnessed history in the making as they conducted speed testing for junior athletes at the Corio Little Athletics Centre. 🏃♂️🏃♀️
Following the excitement of the Olympic Games, members from the Geelong Highway Patrol and athletes aged six to 17-years-old participated in a range of track and field activities to prepare for the summer season of Little Athletics.
All junior athletes were speed tested over 50m and took on the Illinois Agility test, which all Victoria Police applicants must undergo as part of recruitment process. (A great head start for any junior constables in the making!)
At the end of the session all participants received a certificate with their top speeds recorded ⏱️ Officers will return later this year to retest and hopefully award some well-deserved personal bests for the young champs.
