Engineering teacher and CTE department chair Audrea Moyers was recognized last Tuesday because her second- and fourth-year engineering students were among the top performers in austinisd on industry-based certifications during the 2023-2024 school year. The recognition came during the opening session of the austinisd_cte In-Service Day at Akins Early College High School. The certifications are a major barometer of success for CTE students and teachers, and the success of Moyers’ students is just one source of evidence of the learning and growth that students enjoy in macengineering classes. The second-year students who passed their ICB exam became AutoCAD-certified users; fourth-year students earned the NOCTI Engineering Technology Foundations certification. In all, 39 of Moyers’ students earned an industry-based certification. #aisdproud
