By day he's an officer with the Public Order Response Team (PORT), but in his free time he dabbles in writing children's books, channelling his previous career working with youth disability and disorders in schools.
Joining the police was a dream he had had since he was Book Week-age himself, but it was a conversation with one of his students that inspired him to take the plunge in his 30s.
“In a discussion encouraging her to believe in herself and pursue her dreams, she asked me if I had achieved my dream. Whilst I did love my job and the work I was doing, it was in that moment that I knew I had to lead by example and show that potential is worth pursuing. So, I applied for Victoria Police.”
