As many of you are frantically pulling together last minute #BookWeek costumes we thought it might be the perfect time to introduce you to Senior Constable Steven Krygger. ⁣ ⁣ By day he's an officer with the Public Order Response Team (PORT), but in his free time he dabbles in writing children's books, channelling his previous career working with youth disability and disorders in schools. ⁣ ⁣ Joining the police was a dream he had had since he was Book Week-age himself, but it was a conversation with one of his students that inspired him to take the plunge in his 30s. ⁣ ⁣ “In a discussion encouraging her to believe in herself and pursue her dreams, she asked me if I had achieved my dream.
