Cal South’s PRO+ Olympic Development Program (ODP) saw 46 of its talented players selected recently to rosters for the West Region for this year’s US Youth Soccer ODP Interregional teams. The announcement on US Youth Soccer’s website last Friday, August 16 was in regard to boys and girls selected from the 14 western state associations ODP training pools in the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 groups. Because of the larger numbers of players chosen in the 2011 and 2012 age groups, players were split into Olders and Youngers divisions. In all, fourteen boys from Cal South’s ODP pools were selected across the eight age groups, while over double that number – 32 overall – were chosen from Cal South’s girls’ pools.
