Before we kick start the semester, let's explore another #SummerCamels series. This time, we spotlight Ashley Norton for her work with WakeMed. Putting those courses into a real-world perspective provided me with a different understanding of a Hospital at an operational level. 𝓦𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓭𝓲𝓭 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓷 𝓯𝓻𝓸𝓶 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓷𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓹? My internship allowed me to meet, learn, and shadow various individuals who are on the management side of healthcare. For example, I was connected with a practice manager who provided me with insight into her day-to-day operations.
