This year’s Met Gala theme paid homage to legendary fashion designer, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” — a fitting tribute to the visionary Lagerfeld who made a mark on the fashion world with his unparalleled creativity and talent. Karl Lagerfeld completely evolved the brands he worked for. Met Gala guests could draw inspiration from Lagerfeld’s iconic designs that he created for various fashion brands, including Patou, Balmain, Chloé, Fendi and Chanel. After last year’s letdown, my expectations were somewhat low going into this year’s Met Gala. But I found myself thoroughly entertained by the creative and bold fashion choices the attendees made.
