Students took part in a national walk out protesting gun violence organized by the nonprofit Students Demand Action. At noon on Wednesday, April 5, students willing to participate walked out of their fifth-hour class to a rally held by East Against Gun Violence on the football field. EAGV co-president and representative juniors Emma Krause and Emma Kuhlman spoke at the rally thanking everyone who participated and sharing ways students can help influence lawmakers to create change. Senior Gianna Sorce also spoke at the rally, sharing first-hand experience about how gun violence has affected her friends and family.
