#2028FreshmanProfile 🎓🏠 Unapologetic Excellence: Calvin Butts '28⁠ ⁠ ⁠ Calvin Butts '28 is a freshman sports journalism major from Harlem, New York.⁠ ⁠ ⁠ As a dual-sport #StudentAthlete, Calvin excelled in both his athletic career and social endeavors. During his senior year, Calvin was the captain of both the varsity basketball and baseball teams and won team MVP for both. In addition, he was the lead trumpet for his jazz ensemble and president of his school’s Video Arts and Entertainment Club.⁠ ⁠ ⁠ Calvin was greatly influenced to come to the House because of his grandfather and alumnus, Revered Dr. Calvin O. Butts III ’72.
