Meet Madisun Rosier of Williamson County, who will represent the United States as a member of specialolympicsusa next March in Italy at the specialolympicsworldgames!
Madisun has been a Special Olympics athlete since 2014, when she first played Unified basketball. She currently trains and competes in athletics, basketball, bowling, flag football, and short-track speed skating. Special Olympics has helped Madisun build her confidence and encouraged her to dream big dreams, including starting a short-track speed skating club in Tennessee, so other individuals can grow to love the sport as she did.
In addition to her Special Olympics sports training, Madisun is an avid ice hockey player who competes in a women’s hockey league at fordicecenter Bellevue. She is the only individual with an intellectual disability on her team and dreams of becoming a professional women's hockey player and playing in Team USA's hockey program.
