“We are very grateful to you for that beautiful statue which will remind us of these very important elements of our life and hopefully infuse our own students as they pass that statue every day.” Those were the closing words of the homily by Assistant to the President Fr. Richard Zanoni, S.J., today as we celebrated a special Mass with members of the Class of 1973 and dedicated our new statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Following Mass in the CHS Chapel of the Sacred Heart, there was a blessing and dedication of the statue on a beautifully sunny day at 1180 Delaware Ave. The statue is a gift of the Class of 1973, which chose to dedicate its Golden Jubilee 50th Reunion Class Gift towards a statue of St. Ignatius, the founder of the Society of Jesus.
