In 2021, I began a mission to provide valuable advice and perspectives for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) community and their loved ones. While I couldn't predict how this endeavor would develop, my intention remained constant: to highlight important issues and help others feel acknowledged and understood. This journey has brought unexpected benefits, including new friendships, entrepreneurial growth, and chances to speak publicly. However, the most significant outcome has been a deeper connection to my community. Before starting Mama Hu Hears, I lacked a strong personal connection to the DHH community, despite working to support it. Now, I feel truly integrated and involved.
