Join us in honoring the beloved "Deebo", Dennis Koch, who loved his motorcycle, wife and the people in his community. A tremendous loss, Dennis passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18 after a driver ran a stop sign near the intersection of Sunset Road and Old Statesville Road and hit Dennis and his wife, Crystal on their motorcycle. Crystal, while also grieving the loss of her husband, is currently in the hospital recovering from her injuries. For years, Sheriff McFadden and MCSO supported Dennis and Crystal's annual Memorial Day Ride to Remember where more than 100 bikers travel across 5 counties to honor those who have served or are serving our country. This past May, the Sheriff escorted the riders through the entire ride, ensuring their safety and security. Yesterday, hundreds of people, family, friends and community members, including Sheriff McFadden, held a memorial ride and candlelight vigil at the crash site for Dennis to celebrate his life and legacy.
