**MEET THE TEAM** The Owner and Founder of Grassroots Racing News is lucashalbert9. Lucas created GRN at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Spring of 2020. While he is originally from Fairfield, Illinois, Lucas is currently attending Belmont Abbey College in Charlotte, North Carolina, in pursuit of a Bachelors in Motorsport Management. Lucas began his career in motorsports at his home track, Wayne County Speedway. His experiences there led him to further opportunities with the HART Non-Wing Micro Series where he began to announce races. In the midst of his experience with HART, Lucas began Grassroots Racing News. He covered races on iRacing then transitioned to dirt racing once things started to reopen in the Midwest. For the past three years in January Lucas has paid a visit to the Chili Bowl Nationals, operating teams’ social media accounts, Mounce/Stout Motorsports (2021, 2023) and Dave-Mac Dalby Motorsports (2022, 2023).
