Celebrating 25 years of hoops, heart, and hustle with Dez and Ciara! This summer, Dez Chatman ‘24 and Ciara Villegas Sparling ‘25, honored 25 years of gswacademy! Dez Chatman is the Program Assistant of Warriors Basketball Academy with the Golden State Warriors. As an on-site director, he led various camps around the Bay while simultaneously training his athletes at the former Warriors basketball facility in Oakland. As a native to Oakland, the connection and ties he has made to young campers, members and families in his hometown has been nothing short of special. Ciara Villegas Sparling is a Senior Trainer at Warriors Basketball Academy with the Golden State Warriors. In her role, she provides 1:1 training to young athletes day in and day out. Additionally, she manages the WBA social media channels.
