Behind the scenes at the Olympic Trials - Setting up a remote camera šŸ“ø The gold standard for remote cameras are Pocket Wizards, nearly 99% of all professional photographers use them! ⁣ Here’s my set up with some tips & tricks⁣ ⁣ Gear list:⁣ -Canon 1dxmk2 (these things are tanks, rain or shine)⁣ -Canon 16-35 F2.8 (my favorite wide angle)⁣ -Platypod platypodtripods + ball head ⁣ -Pocket Wizard Plus IV (make sure long range & same channels are synced)⁣ -Pre Trigger (prevents camera from going to sleep, always on)⁣ -Cable (each cable is different for each camera)⁣ ⁣ Settings:⁣ -1/2500 (needs a fast shutter to capture action)⁣ -F4 (I want multiple people in focus)⁣ -ISO (AUTO - While 100 is a safe bet, clouds were in the forecast, and the race wouldn’t happen for another 4 hours)⁣ ⁣ Tips:⁣ -I turn on video mode & zoom in with the šŸ”Žā£ for best focus -Manual focus + taping down the lens to lock in⁣ -RAW (A bigger file to work off of)⁣ -Go out to set up the camera as early as possible, give y...
