Known as one of the most haunted places in South Florida, Deering Estate offers a series of ghost tours where guests can step into the past and explore the history of the estate. Guides will share stories of historic events, insights into previous inhabitants and the record of paranormal activity experienced by visitors and staff. Some paranormal experiences at the Estate include sightings of apparitions drifting around the boat basin, where guests have reported hearing a woman's faint cry for help. In another encounter, a guest reported having an interaction with the spirit of a little girl in the children's room of the Richmond Cottage. During these tours, participants have an opportunity to use paranormal investigation tools, such as pendulums, dowsing rods and EMF meters.
