The Theta Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon, or DKE, is being sued for alleged negligence by a person who sustained “serious injuries” at the fraternity house during a party on Cal Day 2023. The plaintiff claims the fraternity permitted unsafe conditions, asserting that DKE members allowed guests to access the roof of the house, which allegedly lacked safety barriers or railings to prevent falls, according to a legal complaint filed by the plaintiff. The complaint also alleges that “copious amounts of alcohol were being served and consumed” at the party held April 22, 2023.
