drmichaelfrazis on treatment planning...Are you treatment planning in the right order? Treatment planning should always address the patients goal and this should only be managed after the patient is dentally stable. Some people will argue that doing a full mouth rehab or all on X treatment early is the only way to stabilise the patient but you can only break the rules once you learn what they are comfortable with normal procedures. At any time if something is beyond your scope then it will require referral for management and thus means treatment times may be extended (not a bad thing just to be aware). If you are the one doing the extractions, endo and restorative they can be combined in to single appointments for ease of patient management. The same goes for complex care or sedating patients.
