Love ‘em or hate ‘em? The rear foot elevated split squat, aka the Bulgarian split squat is a great single leg exercise for athletes, as well as fitness enthusiasts. But announcing it as an exercise can certainly be met with some groaning or whining 😅. Here’s some general facts ✅ Improves knee stability ✅ Good for injury prevention ✅ Builds strength and/or size in the quads, glutes and hamstrings. ✅ Load using bodyweight, a single dumbbell (at the side or goblet style), two dumbbells, a barbell, or kettlebell(s) (at the side or goblet style) ⭐ Play around with height of the back foot and length of the split for each individual to reach a full ROM with the front foot staying flat on the ground.   ⭐ Use a bench, a chair, a plyo box, or any other stable surface to elevate the foot. Of course if you’re at Athletic Lab, check out or squat rack attachment (seen in the photo above) for an “elevated” split squat experience! So, do you love ‘em or hate ‘em?? #fitness #strengthan...
