Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. Last year, cdphe reported 467 fatal overdoses in Denver. Today, we honor those we’ve lost and stand with the families and communities affected by overdose. Our hearts go out to loved ones who continue to feel this loss every day. 💜🕊️
This day serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of our collective efforts to prevent future overdoses and support affected communities. At Caring for Denver, we are committed to supporting prevention, education, and recovery efforts around substance misuse in our city. Thank you, people of Denver, for founding and funding this life-saving work. Together, we are making a difference, raising awareness, reducing stigma, and building a future where every life is cherished and protected. 🙏
